Introduction

Chateau Leoville Las Cases 2001 is a prestigious red wine from France, produced in the Saint Julien appellation of the Medoc region in Bordeaux. As one of the oldest estates in the Medoc, its history dates back to 1638 when it was part of the original Leoville estate, once the largest in the region. Following the French Revolution, the estate was divided into three separate entities between 1826 and 1840, with Las Cases retaining the historic heart of the domain. The property has been managed by the same family since the late 19th century and is currently owned by Jean Hubert Delon.

Description

This 2001 vintage is a classic Bordeaux blend typically composed of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, and 12% Cabernet Franc.
