Cirelli La Collina Trebbiano D'Abruzzo 2020

The 2020 Trebbiano d'Abruzzo by Francesco Cirelli offers a contemporary view of the Abruzzo appellation. With ripe yellow fruit, it is reminiscent of apricot pits and peach peel and is delicately citrusy with orange zest. Herbaceous and balanced by notes of laurel, sage and light tobacco, it promises authentic drinking pleasure with a clear character of origin.

On the nose, the Trebbiano is juicy with fine phenolic-like tart contouring guardrails. The wine is clearly low in sulphur and shines on the palate with agile vitality. The acidity acts moderately in the background and is fuelled by the animating bitter notes that also characterize it haptically on the palate. Transparent and clear with a delicately saline finish thanks to the open chalky soils.
